Facility
Built in 1910, The Manor House is one of five Boxley family homes built in Roanoke, Virginia between 1890 and 1920. As the owners of the area stone quarries, the Boxley's were a prominent Roanoke family at the turn of the century.
The estate consists of The Manor House, The Carriage House, and The Gardener's Cabin — all of which are original and have been recently restored. Today, another local Roanoke family has taken ownership of the Manor and plan to continue allowing the community to enjoy the tranquility of the space.
The
event space
At Bent Oaks Manor, every event feels magical. Our space is perfect for a cozy ceremony on the front steps, a beautiful bridal shower, or a scenic reception in the garden and courtyard. We’ll work with you to make the space just right for your needs.
Located on a quarter acre in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and close to Downtown Roanoke, it’s a great spot for a wedding weekend or an intimate gathering.
Bent Oaks Manor can host up to 40 guests for a sit-down dinner, 75 for a cocktail reception, or up to 120 with outdoor space included. You’ll have the freedom to choose your own vendors and set up the space, seating, and decor to match your vision.
The
Grounds
Bent Oaks Manor sits on a beautifully cared-for quarter acre, surrounded by lush Crape Myrtle and White Oak trees. The grounds have a mix of original architectural details and peaceful private areas, combining early 1900s charm with modernized amenities.
With stunning views of Roanoke’s Mill Mountain, guests can relax in the cozy courtyard, swing on the wraparound porch, or enjoy the view from the charming second-floor balcony. Tall White Oak trees around the main house add to the private, secluded feeling.

Parking
On-Site parking at Bent Oaks Manor is limited. Luckily, we have some amazing neighbors that allow us to use their parking lots during events! These two businesses are located directly behind Bent Oaks.

Once parked, guests will enter through the gate in the alley behind Bent Oaks and proceed to the front door. Directional signs for parking and event entrance will assist guests.
